Objective
Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in public toilets within hospitality facilities, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning Methods
Ensure the cleaning trolley is prepared with all necessary supplies and equipment, making certain to utilise colour-coded cloths and mops.
Start by emptying the rubbish bin and replacing the liner.
Apply a sanitising solution to the toilet bowl seat and urinal, allowing for sufficient dwell time prior to scrubbing and rinsing.
Sanitise and wipe the sink, tap, and countertop using a suitable cloth.
Clean mirrors and glass surfaces using a glass cleaner and a microfibre cloth.
Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet quality criteria.
Sweep the floor to remove debris, then mop with a sanitising solution.
Dust and wipe down partition doors and other surfaces.
Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
Inspect and eliminate any graffiti or marks from walls and doors.

PassSurfaces are generally clean with some streaks. Mild odours present. Consumables partially stocked. Floors are mostly clean with some dampness. Some graffiti or marks visible.
FailSurfaces are visibly dirty or unsanitised. Strong odours present. Consumables not stocked. Floors are dirty or wet. Graffiti or marks are prominent.
