Objective
To ensure the emergency stairs in hospitality facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, adhering to Australian cleaning quality standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning Methods
Initiate the cleaning process by dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth, commencing from the top of the stairs and progressing downwards.
Sanitise handrails and high-touch areas using a disinfectant solution, ensuring all surfaces are thoroughly wiped.
Vacuum the carpeted area using a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner, ensuring all edges and corners are thoroughly cleaned.

Collect and dispose of rubbish in the designated bin, ensuring the bin is emptied and the liner replaced.
Spot-clean walls and doors using an appropriate cleaning agent to eliminate any visible marks or stains.
Inspect and clean light fixtures and emergency signage, ensuring they are free from dust and fully operational.

FailSignificant dust and marks on surfaces; handrails are visibly dirty; floors have significant debris; rubbish bins are overflowing; light fixtures and signage are dusty and not operational.
