Objective
Ensure the steam room in the hospitality facility is cleaned and sanitised to the highest Australian standards, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for all users.
Cleaning Methods
Prepare the cleaning trolley with all essential equipment and cleaning agents, making sure to use colour-coded cloths for different surfaces.
Dispose of all waste appropriately, ensuring it is placed in the designated rubbish bin.
Apply an appropriate sanitising solution to all surfaces, ensuring to allow the correct dwell time as per the manufacturer's instructions.
Rinse the surface using clean water, then dry it with a clean cloth.
Scrub benches, walls, and floors using a non-abrasive brush.
Inspect and clean drains, ensuring they are free from blockages.
Disinfect all touchpoints by wiping them down with a disinfectant wipe.
Clean the glass surface using a glass cleaner, then polish it with a microfibre cloth.
Inspect for mould and mildew, treating any affected areas with a mould remover.
Ensure the room is left dry and devoid of any cleaning residue.

PassSurfaces are generally clean but may have some streaks. Mild odours present. Drains partially blocked. Some visible mould or mildew. Some touchpoints disinfected.
FailSurfaces are dirty or have significant residue. Strong odours present. Drains blocked. Visible mould or mildew. Touchpoints not disinfected.
