Objective
To ensure the sluice room in the healthcare facility is cleaned and sanitised to the highest standards, minimising infection risks and maintaining a hygienic environment.
Cleaning Methods
Prepare the area by removing all waste and disposing of it in the designated rubbish bin.
Utilise a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
Apply a hospital-grade disinfectant to all surfaces, ensuring adequate contact time before proceeding with wiping.
Mop the floor utilising a clean mop head and a disinfectant solution, ensuring all areas are thoroughly covered.
Sanitise walls and doors by wiping them down with a solution, paying particular attention to high-touch areas.
Sanitise and clean all cleaning equipment prior to storing it in the designated area.
Inspect and replenish all dispensers, ensuring they are operating correctly.
Inspect the drain and clean as necessary to prevent blockage and odour.

PassSurfaces have some marks but are generally clean. Mild odours present. Dispensers are partially filled. Floors are clean but may have some damp spots. Some dust or debris visible.
FailSurfaces are dirty with visible stains. Strong odours present. Dispensers are empty or not functioning. Floors are dirty or wet. Visible dust and debris present.
