Objective
Ensure the CT Scan Room is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, minimising infection risks and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.
Cleaning Methods
Ensure the cleaning trolley is prepared and equipped with the appropriate colour-coded cloth and mop.
Begin dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth, starting from the highest point and working downwards.
Utilise a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner to vacuum the floor, ensuring the capture of fine particles.
Sanitise high-contact areas using a hospital-grade disinfectant, ensuring to allow for the appropriate contact time.
Utilise a damp mop with a neutral detergent to clean the floor, then allow it to air dry.
Dispose of rubbish, replace the bin liner, and ensure the bins are sanitised.
Inspect and clean the air vent using a damp cloth to eliminate accumulated dust.
