Objective
Ensure the treatment room in the healthcare facility is cleaned to the highest standards, maintaining a hygienic and safe environment for patients and staff, in compliance with Australian cleaning and infection control standards.
Cleaning Methods
Ensure the cleaning trolley is prepared with all necessary supplies, making certain to utilise colour-coded cloths and mops.
Dust all surfaces, proceeding from high to low, to prevent recontamination.
Sanitise high-contact areas utilising a hospital-grade disinfectant.
Utilise a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner to vacuum the floor, ensuring the capture of fine particles.
Mop the floor utilising a damp mop and a neutral detergent. Ensure the floor is dry prior to vacating the area.
Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the quality criteria.
Dispose of waste in line with the healthcare waste management protocol.
