Objective
To ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in the Senior Centre of the Government Building, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and practices.
Cleaning Methods
Ready the cleaning trolley, ensuring it is equipped with colour-coded cleaning cloths and the suitable cleaning agents.
Begin by dusting from higher to lower surfaces to prevent recontamination.
Utilise a HEPA-filtered vacuum cleaner to minimise dust and allergens when vacuuming carpet.
Mop the hard floor using a damp mop and appropriate detergent, ensuring no excess water is left on the surface.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and sanitise the bin's surface.
Sanitise high-touch areas utilising disinfectant wipes or spray, ensuring adequate contact time for effective results.
Sanitise the toilet by applying toilet bowl cleaner, then scrub and flush. Ensure the basin and tap are also sanitised.
Clean windows and glass surfaces using glass cleaner and a microfibre cloth.
Inspect the lift and stairwell, cleaning as necessary to ensure all surfaces are free from dirt and debris.

FailSurfaces are dusty and dirty. Floors are streaked and sticky. High-touch areas are not sanitised. Toilets and basins are stained and emit odours. Rubbish bins are full or not sanitised.
