Objective
To ensure the fire station is maintained in a clean, hygienic, and safe condition, meeting Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning Methods
Prepare the cleaning trolley with all essential equipment and supplies. Use colour-coded cloths and mops to avoid cross-contamination.
Thoroughly vacuum all carpeted areas, with particular focus on corners and edges.
Begin by dusting all surfaces from top to bottom to capture all dust particles.
Mop the hard floor using a damp mop and the appropriate cleaning solution, ensuring no residue is left behind.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and sanitise the bin's surface.
Sanitise high-touch surfaces using a disinfectant spray and cloth, ensuring all areas are thoroughly covered.
Clean windows and glass surfaces using a glass cleaner and squeegee to achieve a streak-free finish.
Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the quality criteria.
Sanitise the kitchen area, concentrating on the removal of food residue and the sanitation of surfaces.
Clean and sanitise the toilet, ensuring all fixtures are free from stains and odours.
