Objective
To ensure the Document Destruction area in the Government Building is maintained to the highest cleaning standards, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and efficient environment for document handling and destruction.
Cleaning Methods
Start by dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth to collect dust and inhibit its dispersal.
Vacuum all carpeted areas using a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner to maintain air quality.
Mop the hard floor using a neutral pH cleaner to avoid causing damage to the surface.
Sanitise high-touch surfaces using a disinfectant that meets Australian standards for effectiveness against bacteria and viruses.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and sanitise the bin using an appropriate disinfectant.
Wipe down and sanitise the shredder and other equipment, ensuring no paper debris is left behind.

FailSurfaces are dusty. Floors are dirty with visible marks. High-touch surfaces are not sanitised. Rubbish bins are full or not sanitised. Equipment is dirty with significant debris.
