Objective
Ensure the waste storage area in the government building is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, minimising health risks and ensuring compliance with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning Methods
Implement a colour-coded cleaning system to avoid cross-contamination.
Start by eliminating all visible waste and debris from the area.
Utilise a trolley to convey waste to the designated disposal zone.
Apply an appropriate sanitising solution to all surfaces and permit it to dwell for the suggested duration.
Ensure all surfaces are wiped down with a clean cloth, leaving no residue behind.
Utilise a mop to cleanse the floor, ensuring all spills and stains are thoroughly removed.
Inspect the area for any lingering odour and, if necessary, apply an odour neutraliser.
Conduct a final inspection to ensure all tasks have been completed to the required standard.

PassSurfaces are mostly clean, some odours present, bins are emptied but not cleaned, some waste or debris present, area is somewhat organised.
FailSurfaces are dirty, strong odours present, bins are full or dirty, significant waste or debris present, area is disorganised and inaccessible.
