Objective
To ensure the Disaster Recovery space within the Government Building is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning Methods
Prepare the cleaning trolley with all essential supplies and equipment, ensuring the use of colour-coded cloths and mops.
Start by dusting all surfaces, working from high to low, to avoid recontamination.
Thoroughly vacuum all carpeted areas, with particular focus on corners and edges.
Mop the hard floor utilising a damp mop and the correct cleaning solution, ensuring no excess water is left on the surface.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and dispose of waste in accordance with the facility's protocol.
Sanitise high-touch areas using a disinfectant spray and cloth, ensuring all surfaces are visibly damp for the necessary contact duration.
Sanitise the toilet and washbasin using a toilet brush and sanitising cleaner, ensuring all surfaces are thoroughly scrubbed and rinsed.
