Objective
Ensure the rest room in the government building is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning Methods
Implement a colour-coded cleaning system to avoid cross-contamination.
Start from the highest point and work downwards to prevent re-soiling the cleaned area.
Apply disinfectant to all surfaces, allowing for the appropriate contact time before proceeding to wipe.
Utilise a microfibre cloth to wipe surfaces, ensuring optimal removal of dirt and bacteria.
Ensure all cleaning agents are utilised in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and safety data sheets.
Discard waste in the assigned rubbish bin and substitute the liner.
Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet quality criteria.

PassSurfaces are generally clean but may have some streaks. Mild odours present. Supplies are low but available. Floors have some wet spots and debris.
FailSurfaces are visibly dirty or sticky. Strong odours present. Supplies are depleted. Floors are wet or littered with debris.
Required Equipment
  • Colour-coded microfibre cloth and mop
  • Disinfectant and Cleaning Agent Compliant with Australian Standard
  • Rubbish Bin Liner
  • Cleaning trolley equipped with necessary supplies.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including gloves and masks.
  • Scrubbing Brush and Sponge
