Objective
To ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the Health Department of a Government Building, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and infection control guidelines.
Cleaning Methods
Prepare the cleaning trolley with all essential supplies and equipment, making sure to use colour-coded cloths and mops to avoid cross-contamination.
Begin by dusting from high to low surfaces to capture all dust particles.
Thoroughly vacuum the carpet and rug, ensuring particular attention is paid to corners and edges.
Sanitise high-contact surfaces using a disinfectant spray, then wipe them down with a clean cloth.
Mop the hard floor using a damp mop and the suitable cleaning solution, ensuring no residue is left behind.
Clean windows and glass surfaces with a glass cleaner and squeegee to achieve a streak-free finish.
Empty the rubbish bin, sanitise its interior, and replace the liner.
Commence the cleaning of the toilet and washroom by first addressing the sink and tap, then proceed to the toilet and mirror. Ensure the use of a separate cloth for each area to maintain hygiene standards.
Restock hygiene supplies, ensuring dispensers are clean and functional.
