Objective
To ensure the Reference Library within the Government Building is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, providing a safe and welcoming environment for all users.
Cleaning Methods
Commence by dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth, initiating from the highest point and progressing downwards.
Vacuum all carpeted areas using a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner to ensure effective removal of dust and allergens.
Mop the hard floor using a neutral pH cleaner, ensuring that no residue is left behind.
Sanitise high-touch areas using a disinfectant that meets Australian standards for effectiveness against bacteria and viruses.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and thoroughly wipe down both the exterior and interior of the bin using a sanitising solution.
Clean glass surfaces with a streak-free glass cleaner, ensuring no smudges or fingerprints remain.
Spot clean walls and partitions using a mild detergent solution, focusing on visible marks and stains.
Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the quality criteria outlined.
