Objective
To ensure the stairwell in the education facility is maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene, in compliance with Australian cleaning and workplace health and safety standards.
Cleaning Methods
Commence by dusting all elevated surfaces, inclusive of handrails and balustrades, utilising a microfibre cloth.
Commence sweeping the entire stairwell from the top, working downwards to eliminate loose dirt and debris.
Utilise a mop and a neutral detergent solution to thoroughly clean all stair treads and landings, ensuring no excess water is left on the surface.
Spot-clean walls and skirting boards using a damp cloth and suitable cleaning solution to eliminate any noticeable marks.
Sanitise handrails and door handles utilising disinfectant spray and a cloth.
Dust and clean lighting fixtures, ensuring they are free from cobwebs and dust.
Dampen a cloth and wipe down the windowsill and ledge.
Inspect all signage for cleanliness and visibility, wiping down as necessary.

PassNoticeable dust or marks on less than 10% of surfaces. Handrails and high-touch areas have some smudging. Floors are mostly clean but may have some residue. Lighting fixtures have some dust. Signage is visible but may have some dirt.
FailVisible dust, dirt, or marks on more than 10% of surfaces. Handrails and high-touch areas are visibly dirty. Floors are dirty or wet. Lighting fixtures are dusty. Signage is dirty or obscured.
