Objective
To ensure the Outdoor Learning Area of the Education Facility is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, providing a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
Cleaning Methods
Start by collecting all noticeable rubbish and debris, then deposit it in the appropriate waste bin.
Utilise a broom to sweep all hard surfaces, ensuring all dirt and leaves are thoroughly removed.
Prepare a sanitising solution as per the manufacturer's instructions, then utilise a cloth to thoroughly clean all outdoor furniture and equipment.
For sanitising outdoor play equipment, apply a sanitising spray and allow it to air dry.
Empty all rubbish bins, replace the liners, and sanitise the bin surfaces.
Utilise a damp cloth to spot clean any stains or spills on the surface.
Inspect the outdoor tap and drinking fountain for cleanliness, wiping them down with a sanitising solution if required.
Ensure all signage is thoroughly wiped down to maintain its cleanliness and legibility.

GoodMinor debris present in less than 5% of the area. Surfaces are mostly clean with no more than one minor stain. Equipment is sanitised. Rubbish bins are empty but may have minor marks. Signage is mostly clean.
PassSome debris present in less than 10% of the area. Surfaces have minor stains or marks. Equipment is mostly sanitised. Rubbish bins are emptied but not sanitised. Signage is legible but not entirely clean.
FailSignificant debris present in more than 10% of the area. Surfaces have visible stains or marks. Equipment is not sanitised. Rubbish bins are full or not sanitised. Signage is dirty or illegible.
