Objective
Ensure the server room is maintained in a clean, dust-free, and sanitised condition to protect sensitive equipment and comply with Australian workplace health and safety standards.
Cleaning Methods
Prepare the cleaning trolley with all essential equipment and supplies, utilising colour-coded cloths to avoid cross-contamination.
Dust all surfaces using a microfibre cloth, starting from the top and working downwards to avoid recontamination.
Sanitise high-touch areas using a suitable disinfectant, ensuring adherence to the contact time as per the manufacturer's instructions.
Thoroughly vacuum the floor utilising a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner to capture fine dust particles.
Wipe down all surfaces using an anti-static cloth, ensuring particular attention is paid to the exteriors of equipment and server racks.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and ensure the bin is clean and odour-free.
Inspect the air vent for dust accumulation and clean as necessary to maintain airflow efficiency.
