Aged Care Facility - Delivery Area

ANCMF-AU-ACF-DA-01

Objective
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic delivery area in the aged care facility, ensuring compliance with Australian cleaning standards and infection control guidelines.
Cleaning Methods
Start by dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth to capture dust particles.
Apply a hospital-grade disinfectant to high-contact areas, ensuring the appropriate dwell time is allowed before proceeding to wipe them clean.
Utilise a colour-coded mop and bucket system to clean the floor, ensuring the application of a disinfectant solution appropriate for a healthcare environment.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and sanitise both the interior and exterior of the bin.
Disinfect the delivery trolley by thoroughly wiping it down, particularly focusing on the handle and other touchpoints, using a disinfectant wipe.
Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the cleanliness standard.
