Objective
Ensure the garbage area in the aged care facility is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, minimising odours and preventing pest infestations.
Cleaning Methods
Ensure that you don appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), inclusive of gloves and a mask.
Remove the rubbish from the bin and convey it to the assigned waste disposal area utilising a trolley.
Sanitise the bin by applying a disinfectant solution, ensuring all surfaces are thoroughly covered.
Sweep the floor to eliminate loose debris.
Mop the floor with a sanitising solution, ensuring particular attention is given to corners and edges.
Replace the bin liner and ensure the bin is properly sealed.
Inspect the area for any signs of pests and report as necessary.
