Objective
Ensure the hot water plant area in the aged care facility is maintained to the highest cleanliness standards, minimising infection risks and ensuring a safe environment for staff and residents.
Cleaning Methods
Ensure the cleaning trolley is prepared with all essential supplies, utilising colour-coded cloths and mops to avoid cross-contamination.
Begin dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth, starting from the highest point and working downwards.
Sanitise high-touch surfaces using an approved disinfectant, ensuring to allow for the appropriate contact time.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and sanitise the exterior of the bin.
Utilise a two-bucket system to mop the floor, ensuring efficient cleaning and sanitisation.
Ensure all walls and equipment are thoroughly wiped down with a damp cloth, leaving no streaks or residual matter behind.
Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the quality criteria.
