Objective
Ensure the telecommunications room in the aged care facility is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, minimising the risk of infection and ensuring a safe environment for staff and equipment.
Cleaning Methods
Ensure the cleaning trolley is prepared and equipped with all essential tools and colour-coded cloths.
Begin dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth, starting from the highest point and working downwards.
Sanitise high-touch areas using a disinfectant solution, ensuring adherence to the contact time as per the manufacturer's instructions.
Thoroughly vacuum the carpet and mat, with particular attention to the edges and corners.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and dispose of waste in accordance with the facility's protocol.
Mop the hard floor using a damp mop and a neutral pH cleaner, suitable for a telecommunications environment.
Inspect the air vent and filter, cleaning them as necessary with a vacuum or damp cloth.
