Objective
Ensure the highest level of cleanliness and infection control in the isolation room of an aged care facility, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and practices.
Cleaning Methods
Prepare the cleaning trolley with the suitable colour-coded cloth and mop.
Don personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with infection control guidelines.
Dust all surfaces utilising a damp microfibre cloth.
Sanitise high-contact areas using an approved disinfectant.
Clean the bathroom facility utilising the specified bathroom cleaning product.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and then sanitise the bin.
Vacuum the carpeted areas and mop the hard floors using a neutral detergent.
Clean windows and mirrors using a glass cleaner.
Inspect and replenish consumables.
Dispose of PPE and thoroughly wash your hands.
