Objective
To ensure the theatre in the aged care facility is cleaned to the highest standards, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Cleaning Methods
Ready the cleaning trolley with the necessary supplies and PPE.
Begin by dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth, starting from the highest point and working your way downwards.
Thoroughly vacuum the carpet, concentrating particularly on high-traffic areas.
Utilise a two-bucket system to mop hard floors, ensuring efficient dirt removal.
Sanitise and wipe high-touch surfaces using a hospital-grade disinfectant.
Ensure the rubbish bin is emptied, with waste disposed of in accordance with facility protocol.
Inspect seating for stains or damage; clean and sanitise as required.
Replenish the hand sanitiser dispenser and verify its functionality.

FailHeavy dust accumulation. Carpets and upholstery are heavily stained. Strong odours present. High-touch surfaces are not sanitised. Rubbish bins are overflowing. Hand sanitiser dispensers are empty or non-functional.
