Objective
To ensure the sensory garden in the aged care facility is maintained in a clean and hygienic condition, providing a safe and pleasant environment for residents.
Cleaning Methods
Start by collecting and disposing of all visible debris and litter.
Use a damp cloth and an appropriate cleaning solution to meticulously clean furniture and fixtures.
Apply disinfectant to the handrail and touchpoints, ensuring adequate dwell time prior to wiping them clean.
Thoroughly sweep the pathway before mopping it with an appropriate outdoor cleaning solution.
Utilise an outdoor vacuum cleaner to vacuum the rug or mat.
Clean signage using a non-abrasive cleaner.
Empty and clean the water feature before refilling it with fresh water as necessary.
Quality Criteria
ExcellentAll surfaces visibly clean, no dust, stains, or debris. Pleasant appearance with no odors. All cleaning tasks completed to highest standard.
GoodMost surfaces clean with minimal dust or minor marks. Generally tidy appearance. All major cleaning tasks completed satisfactorily.
PassBasic cleaning completed, surfaces generally clean but may have some minor dust or marks. Acceptable standard for routine operations.
FailVisible dirt, stains, or debris present. Unacceptable odors or untidy appearance. Cleaning tasks incomplete or inadequate. Requires immediate re-cleaning.
