Objective
Ensure the patio area of the aged care facility is clean, safe, and hygienic for residents and visitors.
Cleaning Methods
Start by removing all noticeable debris and litter from the patio area.
Sweep the entire surface of the patio to gather loose dirt and dust.
Prepare a cleaning solution appropriate for outdoor surfaces and mop the floor thoroughly.
Utilise a damp cloth, combined with a gentle detergent, to meticulously clean all outdoor furniture.
Apply a disinfectant to high-touch surfaces, allowing it to remain for the recommended contact time before wiping it clean.
Inspect the area to ensure all surfaces are clean and free of residue.
Quality Criteria
ExcellentAll surfaces visibly clean, no dust, stains, or debris. Pleasant appearance with no odors. All cleaning tasks completed to highest standard.
GoodMost surfaces clean with minimal dust or minor marks. Generally tidy appearance. All major cleaning tasks completed satisfactorily.
PassBasic cleaning completed, surfaces generally clean but may have some minor dust or marks. Acceptable standard for routine operations.
FailVisible dirt, stains, or debris present. Unacceptable odors or untidy appearance. Cleaning tasks incomplete or inadequate. Requires immediate re-cleaning.
