Objective
Ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic waiting area in the aged care facility to promote the health and well-being of residents, visitors, and staff.
Cleaning Methods
Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfiber cloth to capture dust and allergens.
Utilise a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner to vacuum all carpeted areas, ensuring the maintenance of air quality.
Mop the hard floor using a neutral pH disinfectant, ensuring no residue is left behind.
Utilise a disinfectant wipe or spray to cleanse all high-touch surfaces, ensuring sufficient contact time for effective sanitisation.
Empty the waste bin, replace the liner, and sanitise the surface of the bin.
Sanitise the seating area utilising an appropriate upholstery cleaner and disinfectant.
Clean windows and glass surfaces with a glass cleaner, ensuring a streak-free result.
Record all cleaning activities within the facility's cleaning management system.
