Objective
Ensure the corridor in the aged care facility is maintained to the highest cleanliness and hygiene standards to provide a safe and pleasant environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Cleaning Methods
Commence by dusting all horizontal surfaces, utilising a microfibre cloth to trap dust and allergens.
Utilise a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner to thoroughly vacuum the carpeted area, ensuring the efficient elimination of dust and debris.
Mop the hard floor using a neutral pH disinfectant, ensuring all areas are thoroughly covered. Remove any excess water to prevent slips.
Utilise a damp cloth, paired with an appropriate cleaning agent, to thoroughly clean walls and doors, with a particular focus on eliminating visible marks.
Apply a disinfectant to high-touch areas, allowing the appropriate contact time before proceeding to wipe them clean.
Empty the waste bin, replace the liner, and sanitise the bin surface to prevent odour and contamination.
Quality Criteria
ExcellentAll surfaces visibly clean, no dust, stains, or debris. Pleasant appearance with no odors. All cleaning tasks completed to highest standard.
GoodMost surfaces clean with minimal dust or minor marks. Generally tidy appearance. All major cleaning tasks completed satisfactorily.
PassBasic cleaning completed, surfaces generally clean but may have some minor dust or marks. Acceptable standard for routine operations.
FailVisible dirt, stains, or debris present. Unacceptable odors or untidy appearance. Cleaning tasks incomplete or inadequate. Requires immediate re-cleaning.
