Objective
Ensure the garden shed in the aged care facility is maintained in a clean and hygienic condition to support the health and safety of residents and staff.
Cleaning Methods
Start by removing all items from the floor and surfaces to enable thorough cleaning.
Commence by utilising a microfibre cloth to dust all surfaces, initiating from the top and progressing downwards.
Sweep the floor to eliminate loose dirt and debris.
Prepare a mop bucket with an appropriate disinfectant solution, then mop the floor to ensure uniform coverage.
Utilise a disinfectant spray and cloth to sanitise all frequently handled surfaces.
Clean windows using a glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth.
Return items to their original places and ensure the shed is organised.

ExcellentAll surfaces visibly clean, no dust, stains, or debris. Pleasant appearance with no odors. All cleaning tasks completed to highest standard.
GoodMost surfaces clean with minimal dust or minor marks. Generally tidy appearance. All major cleaning tasks completed satisfactorily.
PassBasic cleaning completed, surfaces generally clean but may have some minor dust or marks. Acceptable standard for routine operations.
FailVisible dirt, stains, or debris present. Unacceptable odors or untidy appearance. Cleaning tasks incomplete or inadequate. Requires immediate re-cleaning.
