Objective
Ensure a hygienic and safe environment in the laundry area of an aged care facility through comprehensive cleaning practices.
Cleaning Methods
Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth to effectively capture dust particles.
Apply a suitable disinfectant to all high-contact areas, making sure to adhere to the recommended contact time prior to wiping them clean.
Thoroughly vacuum the floor, ensuring particular attention is paid to corners and beneath equipment.
Use a neutral pH cleaner to mop the floor, ensuring the prevention of damage to the flooring material.
Empty the waste bin, replace the liner, and sanitise the surface of the bin.
Disinfect the laundry machine, ensuring all detergent residue is thoroughly removed by wiping it down.
Thoroughly disinfect the sink using a non-abrasive cleaner.
