Ensure the visitor room in the aged care facility is cleaned to the highest standards, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for all visitors.

Start by removing all loose debris and dust from the surface with a microfibre cloth.

Use a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner to clean carpets and rugs, ensuring a reduction in dust and allergens.

Mop hard floors utilising a two-bucket system to prevent cross-contamination, applying a neutral pH disinfectant.

Utilise a disinfectant wipe or spray on high-touch surfaces, ensuring adequate contact time for effective sanitisation.

Spot-clean upholstery using an appropriate fabric cleaner, ensuring no residue is left behind.

Empty the waste bin, sanitise the interior, and replace the liner.

Utilise glass cleaner on windows and mirrors, wiping with a lint-free cloth to achieve a streak-free finish.

Conduct a final inspection to confirm that all areas meet the required cleanliness standard.

Excellent	All surfaces visibly clean, no dust, stains, or debris. Pleasant appearance with no odors. All cleaning tasks completed to highest standard.
Good	Most surfaces clean with minimal dust or minor marks. Generally tidy appearance. All major cleaning tasks completed satisfactorily.
Pass	Basic cleaning completed, surfaces generally clean but may have some minor dust or marks. Acceptable standard for routine operations.
Fail	Visible dirt, stains, or debris present. Unacceptable odors or untidy appearance. Cleaning tasks incomplete or inadequate. Requires immediate re-cleaning.
