Objective
Ensure the cool room in the aged care facility is cleaned and sanitized to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
Cleaning Methods
Relocate all items from the cool room to a secure, temperature-regulated setting.
Use a vacuum cleaner fitted with a HEPA filter to remove dust and debris from all surfaces.
Apply a food-safe cleaning solution to all surfaces and scrub thoroughly.
Rinse the surface using clean water, then dry it with a microfiber cloth.
Sanitise all surfaces using an approved disinfectant, ensuring adherence to the contact time as per the manufacturer's instructions.
Disinfect door handles and seals by wiping them down with a disinfectant wipe.
Inspect the cool room for any residual dirt or stains, and repeat the cleaning process if required.
Ensure the cool room is fully air-dried before proceeding with restocking.
