Objective
Ensure the pantry in the aged care facility is maintained in a clean, hygienic, and safe condition to prevent contamination and ensure the well-being of residents and staff.
Cleaning Methods
Start by clearing all items from the surface and shelves.
Dust all surfaces using a microfibre cloth.
Apply an appropriate disinfectant to all surfaces, ensuring to allow the recommended contact time.
Clean all surfaces thoroughly using a fresh cloth.
Mop the floor utilising a disinfectant solution, ensuring all areas are thoroughly covered.
Vacuum the floor to eliminate loose dirt and debris.
Empty the waste bin, replace the liner, and then sanitise the bin.
Disinfect the exterior of the appliance by wiping it down.
Inspect the area to ensure all tasks have been completed to the required standard.
Quality Criteria
ExcellentAll surfaces visibly clean, no dust, stains, or debris. Pleasant appearance with no odors. All cleaning tasks completed to highest standard.
GoodMost surfaces clean with minimal dust or minor marks. Generally tidy appearance. All major cleaning tasks completed satisfactorily.
PassBasic cleaning completed, surfaces generally clean but may have some minor dust or marks. Acceptable standard for routine operations.
FailVisible dirt, stains, or debris present. Unacceptable odors or untidy appearance. Cleaning tasks incomplete or inadequate. Requires immediate re-cleaning.
