Objective
Ensure the main kitchen in the aged care facility is maintained at the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene to prevent contamination and ensure the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
Cleaning Methods
Clear all loose debris from the surface and floor.
Apply the appropriate cleaning agent to the surface, allowing for the necessary dwell time in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Scrub the surface using a non-abrasive pad or brush.
Rinse the surface using clean water, then dry it thoroughly with a clean cloth.
Apply the sanitising solution to all surfaces and allow them to air dry.

Utilise a microfibre cloth for dusting and wiping to guarantee optimal particle removal.
Ensure all waste is disposed of in accordance with the facility's waste management protocol.

GoodMost surfaces clean with minimal dust or minor marks. Generally tidy appearance. All major cleaning tasks completed satisfactorily.
PassBasic cleaning completed, surfaces generally clean but may have some minor dust or marks. Acceptable standard for routine operations.
FailVisible dirt, stains, or debris present. Unacceptable odors or untidy appearance. Cleaning tasks incomplete or inadequate. Requires immediate re-cleaning.
