Objective
Ensure the kitchen in the aged care facility is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, minimizing the risk of contamination and ensuring a safe environment for food preparation.
Cleaning Methods
Remove all items from the surface before applying a food-safe cleaning solution.
Scrub the surface utilising a clean cloth or sponge, focusing particularly on high-contact areas.
Rinse the surface thoroughly with clean water and pat dry using a clean towel.
Apply a food-safe sanitiser and let it air-dry.
Sweep the floor to remove debris, then mop using a disinfectant solution.

Dust light fixtures and vents utilising a microfibre cloth.
Sanitise the handle and clean the exterior of the appliance using a suitable cleaning agent.
Inspect the wall for stains and clean using a mild detergent solution.

GoodMost surfaces clean with minimal dust or minor marks. Generally tidy appearance. All major cleaning tasks completed satisfactorily.
PassBasic cleaning completed, surfaces generally clean but may have some minor dust or marks. Acceptable standard for routine operations.
FailVisible dirt, stains, or debris present. Unacceptable odors or untidy appearance. Cleaning tasks incomplete or inadequate. Requires immediate re-cleaning.
