Objective
Ensure a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in the Day Room of the Aged Care Facility to promote the well-being of residents and staff.
Cleaning Methods
Start by dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth to capture dust and allergens.
Utilise a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner to vacuum the carpeted area, thereby maintaining air quality.
Mop the hard floor using a microfibre mop and an approved disinfectant solution, ensuring no residue is left behind.
Utilise a disinfectant wipe or spray on high-touch surfaces, ensuring adequate contact time for effective sanitisation.
Clean windows and glass surfaces with a glass cleaner and squeegee for a streak-free finish.
Empty the waste bin, sanitise it with a disinfectant spray, and replace the liner.
Document all cleaning activities within the facility in the cleaning log for compliance and review purposes.
