Objective
Ensure the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in the toilet facilities of the aged care facility to protect the health and well-being of residents and staff.
Cleaning Methods
Before commencing the cleaning process, ensure that you are properly outfitted with the suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Begin by removing all rubbish and disposing of it in the designated waste bin.
Apply a disinfectant cleaner to all toilet surfaces, allowing it to sit for the recommended duration before proceeding with scrubbing and rinsing.
Disinfect and clean the sink and countertop, ensuring all soap scum and residue are thoroughly removed.
Mop the floor using a disinfectant solution, ensuring all areas are thoroughly covered.
Disinfect all touchpoints using a sanitising wipe or cloth.
Dust and wipe all horizontal surfaces using a microfiber cloth.
Inspect the area to confirm that all tasks have been completed to the required standard.
Refill all dispensers with the necessary supplies.
Spot-clean walls and partitions using an appropriate cleaning solution.
Quality Criteria
ExcellentAll surfaces visibly clean, no dust, stains, or debris. Pleasant appearance with no odors. All cleaning tasks completed to highest standard.
GoodMost surfaces clean with minimal dust or minor marks. Generally tidy appearance. All major cleaning tasks completed satisfactorily.
PassBasic cleaning completed, surfaces generally clean but may have some minor dust or marks. Acceptable standard for routine operations.
FailVisible dirt, stains, or debris present. Unacceptable odors or untidy appearance. Cleaning tasks incomplete or inadequate. Requires immediate re-cleaning.
