Objective
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic loading dock environment at the transportation hub, ensuring compliance with Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning Methods
Begin by removing all visible rubbish and debris, depositing it in the designated waste bin.
Sweep the entire area using a broom, paying particular attention to corners and edges.
Prepare a mop and bucket, filling it with a suitable cleaning solution. Ensure the solution is appropriate for the surface type.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and clean the bin using a disinfectant.
Commence mopping the floor systematically, initiating from the most distant point and progressing towards the exit.
Sanitise high-touch surfaces using a disinfectant spray and cloth, ensuring all areas are thoroughly covered.
Dust all surfaces utilising a microfibre cloth, ensuring particular attention is paid to ledges and equipment.
Inspect the drain and water collection point, removing any debris and cleaning as necessary.
Ensure cleanliness and visibility by wiping down signage with a damp cloth.

PassSurfaces have some dust and debris. Floors show visible residue. High-touch surfaces have noticeable smudges. Rubbish bins are not overflowing but have odour. Drains have minor blockages.
FailSurfaces are visibly dirty with dust and debris. Floors are sticky or stained. High-touch surfaces are unsanitised. Rubbish bins are overflowing and odorous. Drains are blocked and not functioning.
