Objective

Ensure the electrical switchroom in the retail facility is maintained to the highest cleaning standards, ensuring safety and compliance with Australian regulations.

Cleaning Methods

Prepare the cleaning trolley with all essential equipment and supplies, utilising colour-coded cloths to avoid cross-contamination.

Begin by dusting all surfaces, starting from the highest point and working downwards.

Thoroughly vacuum the floor, ensuring special attention is given to corners and edges.

Mop the floor utilising a figure-eight motion to guarantee uniform coverage and avoid streaking.

Wipe down the surface with a disinfectant, ensuring all areas are covered. Avoid using excess liquid near electrical components.

Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas meet the quality criteria.

Dispose of rubbish in the designated bin and replace the liner as required.

Quality Criteria

Performance Level	Criteria

Good	Minor dust present on non-critical surfaces; floors are clean with minimal streaks; rubbish bins are emptied; compliance with safety standards is maintained.
Pass	Noticeable dust on some surfaces; floors have visible streaks; rubbish bins are not overflowing; basic compliance with safety standards.
Fail	Significant dust and grime on surfaces; floors are dirty with multiple streaks; rubbish bins are overflowing; non-compliance with safety standards.
