Retail - Smoking Area

ANCMF-AU-R-SA-03

Objective
To maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic smoking area in retail facilities, ensuring compliance with Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning Methods
Implement a colour-coded cleaning system to avoid cross-contamination.
Commence by gathering all visible rubbish and cigarette butts using a litter picker, then dispose of them in the appropriate rubbish bin.
Empty the ashtray and rubbish bin, then sanitise them using a disinfectant spray.
Sanitise all seating and tables thoroughly with a sanitising solution, ensuring all surfaces are free from stains and residues.
Sweep the floor to eliminate loose debris, then mop using a neutral pH cleaner appropriate for outdoor surfaces.
Clean glass and metal surfaces using a suitable cleaner to eliminate fingerprints and smudges.
Ensure all signage is wiped clean and free from dirt.
Utilise an odour neutraliser to eradicate any residual smoke scent.
