Objective
To ensure the escalator area in retail facilities is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, providing a safe and pleasant environment for customers and staff.
Cleaning Methods
Implement a colour-coded cleaning system to avoid cross-contamination.
Commence by dusting and wiping the handrail and side panel using a microfibre cloth.
Gather and dispose of waste in the designated rubbish bin.
Utilise a specialised escalator vacuum attachment to vacuum the escalator steps.
Damp-mop the adjacent floor surface using a suitable cleaning solution.
Sanitise handrails and touchpoints utilising disinfectant spray and a cloth.
Clean glass panels using a glass cleaner and microfibre cloth.

FailSignificant dust, dirt, or smudges on surfaces. Handrails are sticky or visibly dirty. Floors are dirty with multiple stains or marks. Rubbish or debris is clearly present.
