Objective
To ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in retail customer toilets, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning Methods
Prepare the cleaning trolley with all essential supplies and equipment, making sure to use colour-coded cloths and mops to avoid cross-contamination.
Start by emptying the rubbish bin and replacing the liner.
Sanitise and clean all surfaces, beginning with the basin and tap, then proceeding to the toilet seat and handle, using the appropriate disinfectant.
Refill the soap dispenser and toilet paper holder as required.
Clean mirrors and glass surfaces with glass cleaner, ensuring no streaks remain.
Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas are clean, sanitised, and free from odour.
Spot-clean walls and partitions to eliminate any marks or stains.
Mop the floor utilising a sanitising solution, ensuring all areas are covered and no excess water remains.

PassSurfaces are clean but may have some residue. Mild odours present. Supplies are low but available. Floors have some wet spots and minor debris.
FailSurfaces are visibly dirty or unsanitised. Strong odours present. Supplies are depleted. Floors are wet or littered with debris.
