Objective
Ensure the effluent treatment area is maintained to the highest cleanliness standards, minimising health risks and ensuring compliance with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning Methods
Prepare the area by eliminating any loose debris and positioning signage to indicate ongoing cleaning.
Utilise a trolley to transport cleaning supplies and equipment to the designated site.
Apply an appropriate disinfectant to all surfaces, ensuring adequate contact time as per the manufacturer's instructions.
Rinse the surface using clean water, then dry it with a clean cloth.
Scrub the surface using a brush or cloth, with a particular focus on high-touch areas.
Mop the floor utilising a disinfectant solution, ensuring uniform coverage.
Inspect the area to ensure all tasks are completed to the required standard.
Discard waste in the specified bin and replace the bin liner.

FailVisible dirt and stains; surfaces are not sanitised; strong odour present; drains are blocked or overflowing.
