Objective
To ensure the boiler room is maintained in a clean and safe condition, minimising hazards and ensuring compliance with Australian workplace health and safety standards.
Cleaning Methods
Prepare the cleaning trolley with all essential equipment and supplies, utilising a colour-coded cleaning system to prevent cross-contamination.
Begin dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth, starting from the highest point and working downwards.
Sanitise high-touch areas using an approved disinfectant, ensuring to allow the appropriate contact time as per the product's instructions.
Mop the floor utilising a damp mop and an appropriate cleaning solution, ensuring no excess water is left on the floor.
Empty the rubbish bin and replace the liner, ensuring waste is disposed of in accordance with facility protocol.
Inspect and clean the ventilation grille and air vent utilising a vacuum equipped with a HEPA filter.
Clean the walls and exterior of equipment using a damp cloth to eliminate any visible dirt or stains.
