To ensure the plant room is maintained in a clean and safe condition, minimising risks and adhering to Australian cleaning standards.

Implement a colour-coded cleaning system to avoid cross-contamination.

Ensure the area is prepared by having all necessary cleaning equipment ready and wearing the appropriate PPE.

Utilise a microfibre cloth to efficiently capture dust when cleaning surfaces.

Sanitise high-contact areas using an approved disinfectant.

Utilise an industrial vacuum cleaner to vacuum the floor, then proceed to mop using an appropriate floor cleaning solution.

Discard waste in the designated bin and replace the liner.

Sanitise and clean the sink and tap using a non-abrasive cleaner.

Utilise an extendable duster to eliminate cobwebs.

Inspect the air vent and filter, then clean using a vacuum or damp cloth as necessary.

Performance Level	Criteria
Excellent	All surfaces are free from dust and debris; floors are spotless with no visible marks; high-touch areas are sanitised and free from smudges; air vents are clean with no visible dust; no cobwebs present.
Good	Minor dust on non-critical surfaces; floors have minimal marks; high-touch areas are mostly sanitised; air vents have minor dust; few cobwebs present.
Pass	Noticeable dust on surfaces; floors have visible marks; high-touch areas are partially sanitised; air vents have visible dust; cobwebs in some areas.
Fail	Heavy dust accumulation; floors are dirty with significant marks; high-touch areas are not sanitised; air vents are clogged with dust; cobwebs are widespread.
