Objective
To maintain a clean, safe, and compliant mechanical workshop environment through effective cleaning practices that adhere to Australian standards.
Cleaning Methods
Prepare the cleaning trolley with all the necessary equipment and supplies, making sure to use colour-coded cloths and mops.
Begin dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth, starting from the highest point and working downwards.
Sanitise high-contact areas utilising disinfectant spray and a cloth.
Vacuum the floor utilising an industrial vacuum cleaner, ensuring special attention is given to corners and areas beneath equipment.
Mop the floor using an appropriate detergent, ensuring no residue is left behind.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and clean the bin using a disinfectant.
Clean tools and equipment by first wiping them down with a degreasing agent, then applying a sanitising solution.
Clean windows and glass surfaces using a glass cleaner and squeegee.
