Objective
To ensure the tool room is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, minimising risks associated with dust, debris, and potential contamination, in compliance with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning Methods
Ensure the cleaning trolley is prepared with all necessary supplies, utilising colour-coded cloths and mops for distinct areas.
Begin by dusting all surfaces from top to bottom to prevent re-contamination.
Thoroughly vacuum the floor, ensuring you pay special attention to corners and the areas beneath equipment.
Sanitise high-touch areas using an appropriate disinfectant, ensuring sufficient contact time as per the product instructions.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and dispose of waste in accordance with the facility's protocol.
Mop the floor utilising a damp mop and an appropriate cleaning solution, ensuring no excess water is left on the floor.
Inspect the air vent and filter, cleaning as necessary to maintain air quality standards.
Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly cleaned, correctly stored, and ready for subsequent use.
