Objective
To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety in the chemical mixing area of an industrial facility, ensuring compliance with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.
Cleaning Methods
Implement a colour-coded cleaning system to avoid cross-contamination.
Start by donning the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as gloves and goggles.
Begin dusting all surfaces with a microfibre cloth, starting from the highest point and working downwards.
Sanitise workbenches and high-touch areas using a disinfectant solution, ensuring to allow for the appropriate contact time.
Mop the floor utilising a trolley equipped with a dual-bucket system, designed to segregate clean water from dirty water.
Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and clean the bin using a disinfectant spray.
Clean the sink and tap using a non-abrasive cleaner, ensuring all residues are removed.
Store all cleaning equipment in the designated area, ensuring they are clean and ready for the next use.
Inspect and clean the ventilation grille utilising a vacuum equipped with a HEPA filter.
Promptly clean any spill or stain utilising the suitable spill kit.
