Objective
Ensure the quarantine area is cleaned and sanitised to the highest standards to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with Australian health and safety regulations.
Cleaning Methods
Ready the cleaning trolley with all essential equipment and cleaning agents, guaranteeing the implementation of colour-coded systems.
Commence by dusting all surfaces from top to bottom, guaranteeing no residual dust is left.
Sanitise all high-touch areas utilising the appropriate disinfectant.

Empty the rubbish bin, replace the liner, and sanitise the bin.
Inspect the area to confirm that all tasks have been completed to the required standard.
Quality Criteria
Performance LevelCriteria
ExcellentAll surfaces are visibly clean and sanitised, with no dust or residue. High-touch areas are disinfected, and there is no presence of odours. Cleaning log is complete and accurate.
GoodSurfaces are generally clean with minor dust in non-critical areas. High-touch areas are mostly disinfected. Cleaning log is mostly complete.
PassSurfaces are clean but may have some dust or residue. High-touch areas are partially disinfected. Cleaning log is incomplete.
FailSurfaces are visibly dirty or dusty. High-touch areas are not disinfected. Presence of odours. Cleaning log is missing or inaccurate.
