Objective
Ensure the recycling area in hospitality facilities is maintained to the highest cleanliness standards, promoting hygiene and safety in accordance with Australian regulations.
Cleaning Methods
Start by donning the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with Australian Workplace Health and Safety regulations.
Ensure the proper segregation of waste by removing all rubbish and recyclable materials from the bin.
Utilise a sanitising solution to clean and disinfect all surfaces, with a particular focus on high-touch areas.
Sweep the floor to remove debris, then mop using a colour-coded mop and bucket system.
Inspect the bin for any damage, replace the liner, and ensure it is clean and odour-free.
Conduct a final inspection to ensure all areas are clean and sanitised, and report any issues to management.

ExcellentAll surfaces are visibly clean and sanitised, with no odours or stains. Bins are empty, lined, and free from damage. Floors are spotless and dry. No pests are present.
GoodSurfaces are mostly clean with minor smudges. Bins are empty and lined, with minor wear. Floors are clean with slight dampness. No visible pests.
PassSurfaces have some visible dirt or smudges. Bins are mostly empty and lined, with some damage. Floors have some debris or damp spots. Occasional pest sighting.
FailSurfaces are visibly dirty or stained. Bins are full, unlined, or damaged. Floors are dirty or wet. Pests are present.
