Objective
Ensure the yoga studio is maintained in a clean, hygienic, and welcoming condition, adhering to Australian cleaning standards and health regulations.
Scope of Work
- Dust all surfaces including shelves, equipment, and window sills.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas and mats.
- Mop hard floors with appropriate cleaning solution.
- Sanitise all high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and taps.
- Clean and sanitise mirrors and glass surfaces.
- Empty and sanitise rubbish bins.
- Ensure all cleaning is performed using a colour-coded system to prevent cross-contamination.
Method
- Begin by dusting all surfaces using a microfibre cloth to capture dust and allergens.
- Vacuum carpets and mats using a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner to ensure air quality.
- Mop hard floors with a neutral pH cleaner to prevent damage to surfaces.
- Use a disinfectant spray on high-touch surfaces, allowing appropriate dwell time for effective sanitisation.
- Clean mirrors and glass with a glass cleaner, ensuring no streaks are left.
- Empty rubbish bins, replace liners, and sanitise the bin interior and exterior.
- Ensure all cleaning tools are cleaned and stored properly after use.

Pass | Visible dust on some surfaces; floors are clean but may have streaks; slight odours present; high-touch areas are partially sanitised; mirrors and glass have visible streaks; bins are not overflowing. |
Fail | Significant dust and marks on surfaces; floors are dirty or sticky; unpleasant odours present; high-touch areas are not sanitised; mirrors and glass are dirty; bins are overflowing. |
Documentation
- Cleaning Checklist: Digital or paper checklist to verify completion of all cleaning tasks
